We're looking for ideas for a light lunch (salads, sandwiches, maybe a single pasta course only) that are geographically convenient to specific Roman sights. We want sit-down places rather than stand-up bars or take-out pizza, but something good (of course!).
Searching previous postings, here's what I have so far. Is this a reasonable list for our purposes? Do any of these require bookings for lunch?
By Palatine/Coliseum/Forum (Day 1 - Wed.):
Ristorante Giggetto al Portico d’Ottavia
Volpetti's deli (tavola calda around corner)
Antica Trattoria da Carlone
Vatican (Day 3 -Fri.):
Giarrosto dal Toscano
Old Bridge Gelato
Thanks for the help!
