Looking for lftor food for Ramadan!

Kauthar | Aug 12, 201012:55 PM

Hi, I recently got back to America after serving in the Peace Corps in a Muslim country for two years. Both years, I observed the month-long fasting of Ramadan. While I don't miss the hunger or dehydration, I do miss the delicious food served at lftor, the fast-breaking meal served at sunset.

Any tips on where to find authentic lftor foods here?

I'm especially interested in helawa shebbekia (a sugary knot cookie), fat bread (loaves baked with fat and herbs), and harira (a lentil and noodle creamy tomato-based soup).

Can anyone give me pointers?

Many thanks! (Shukran bzzef!)
