I was wondering if anyone has eaten at Lespinasse and what their thoughts are about the chef, Christian Delouvrier.
Last night my husband and I celebrated one year of being a married couple by eating at the Lanesborough in London (where we live). We were given a special menu and told that Christian Delouvrier was acting as visiting chef ( the chef from the Lanesborough being shipped out on exchange to Lespinasse, I imagine). Apparently he was cooking some of Lespinasse's 'signature dishes'. I had some fabulous scallops with black truffles, while my husband had some of the richest foie gras either of us had ever tasted. We also tried his duck with red cabbage and the halibut (can't recall the details of the dish). It was delicious but I'm wondering if his creations are always so rich. I'm interested in your feedback.
