I usually am a morning person (Little italy, Dumpling house, Russ & Daughters, Katz's for salami and eggs but the other night had a great steak tartare at Pere Pinard (next to Katz's on Ludlow),anda 1/4 liter of some decent cahors. Then wandered down to Cube 63 on Clintonto resolve the sushi debate comparing to Sachiko's down the block. Despite very trendy atmosphere, extremely young (Chinese?) sushi chefs and no booze (BYOB), I have to admit Cube 63 sushi was verygood and very reasonably priced. Still like Sachiko's though for the atmosphere, sake selection and variety of sushi and food.
