Went to Les Halles recently for an early dinner. Crowded and lively. Anthony Bourdain is long gone. Service was excellent.
I had escargot in garlic butter and a half order of Billi-Bi (saffron, cream vermouth) mussels. Small and tender. My friend had a green salad and hanger steak.
With so few good dinner options in the Financial District, Les Halles is on our short list when we want to stay close to home. They also serve breakfast now. Can't beat that they are open 7 days (including holidays)non-stop from 7 am - midnight.
