We went to Leonardo's Caffe on Court St and 1st Pl yesterday for a pie and a couple of Italian sodas. It was simply delicious, with an excellent crust, mild sauce, and flavorful cheese. The service was friendly and down-to-earth, and the garden seating area was delightful on a mild summer evening. Even though I've lived a twenty-minute walk from the place for three years, this was my first visit. It certainly won't be my last. It's no DiFara, but I've yet to find another pizzeria in Brooklyn that comes close to that level of pizza perfection. I thought this was far superior to its pricier neighbor Caserta Vecchia, and I'd even rate it a notch above Grimaldi's (especially because of the relaxed atmosphere and low prices). I just wonder why this place doesn't get mentioned more often.
