Lenny's NY Style Deli [Fresno & Carmel]

Well, there are no deli cases so I guess it's more of a cafe. Was told yes we're a chain, the other one is in Carmel in the tri-level shopping plaza on Ocean St.

Ordered the "Rudy Giuliani", half pastrami and half corned beef on nice thick cut rye, with swiss and Russian dressing. It was supposed to have slaw on it but they were out so I requested sauerkraut. Pretty good sandwich all in all, meat had a slight smoky note, but thought it rather pricey at 10.95. It came with two small scoops of decent potato salad and half a dill so it could be split between two people with smaller appetites, of course I ate the whole thing. Seem to recall the regular reuben, pastrami, or corned beef being @8.00 or 6.50 for a half. Saw an order of their French Toast delivered that got oohs and ahhs, believe someone called it bread pudding.

Service was a little strange, seemed like the cook was making one order at a time.

Wondering if any hounds have tried the Carmel location and have any comments. I'd be especially interested in hearing if anyone has tried Langer's in LA and how Lenny's stacks up against them.
