In the usual drab drive along Rte. 107/Broadway, I noticed a new restaurant Lemonleaf Grill. My husband and I quickly tried it out, yearning for new tastes in the Island.
The decor was nice and Thai-themed. The food is totally geared to wow the "meat & potatoes" crowd of LI. It's not too flashy and the food isn't too spicy and not too anything. It's aiming for the average American palate that I might as well go to Applebee's down the way. It's the Benihana to Thai food minus the fancy sword and knife wielding cooks.
Nonetheless, I'll go back there for the lemongrass soup and the fact that there's nothing else around.
