My Dad, a real lemon meringue pie lover, has moved to the Peninsula near me. I'd love to be able to treat him to some great old-fashioned lemon meringue pie! His requirements are that the crust be well-done (as in crispy, as opposed to the soggy crust of many pies nowadays), wonderful lemony insides, and a high meringue. I am not well-versed in all the options around (including Heidi's pies, etc.) so any and all recommendations are welcome! Thanks so much!!
