Leisurely Grownup Lunch in Ottawa area

Chilanga | Jul 27, 2005 04:19 PM

I am looking for suggestions for a leisurely lunch while we are on vacation in Ottawa next month. 4 adults, no budget constraints, either side of the river, not too formal, a good wine list is a plus. The only real hitch is that one diner is an unadventurous eater so while I read the Ottawa hounds' debates over Indian and Thai food with great envy, they just won't work this time.

A while back someone said they had liked Les Fougeres. I checked the website and it looks promising. Any other opinions on this choice? Any other recommendations? Would I find Cafe Henry Burger too formal for a summer lunch? L'Oree du Bois and Beckta are closed for lunch. Thanks!
