I thought I'd start a new thread to list restaurants in the Boston area that LEGALLY permit BYOB, since the last thread is quite old.
Please don't post the name of a restaurant that lets you do illegal BYOB, since we don't want to get them in trouble. And no hiding your beer in a Chinese teapot!
To start it off with a new one, as far as I know, this is currently the only restaurant with legal BYOB within Boston city limits (the third one to get a license, but the other two have since closed). I saw them mentioned on the City website and called the restaurant today to confirm. A small little place, but it gets positive reviews on Yelp. I have not been yet but planning to go.
I've also created a "Collection" of legal BYOB restaurant in the Boston area on Yelp, which you should be able to access if you like (note, I define "Boston area" very liberally, basically anywhere I'm willing to drive just for BYOB, which is why Chauncey Creek is on it lol):
Dumpling Daughter (Weston)
Cafe Rossetti's (Winthrop)
Cha Yen Thai Cookery (Watertown)
Chauncey Creek Lobster Pier (Kittery Point, ME)
The Causeway (Gloucester)
The Herb Lyceum at Gilson's (Groton)
Ethiopian Cafe (Jamaica Plain)
Sweet Basil (Needham)
The Buffalo Jump (East Falmouth)
Sam's Kitchen (Woburn)
Cafe Mangal (Wellesley)
Let me know if I've missed any (there a few I'm trying to confirm are actually legal before I add them, and I haven't included any from Worcester)...
