I have some nice rare slices of "flat iron" steak from dinner the other day. Homemade pizza dough is rising on the counter. My thought is to brush the pizza dough with garlic infused olive oil. Top with some sliced fresh tomato, sweet pepper slices and sweet onion. Bake the dough and veggies for about 10 minutes. Top with a mix of provolone and cheddar cheese, steak slices cut to bite sized, another layer of cheese and bake for another 10 minutes. Do you think it will work? I don't want to overcook the steak. I want a crust that is not soggy, want the veggies cooked through and the cheese melted. Any thoughts on techniques? Or added/subtract ingredients. I don't want it to be "kitchen sink". Sorry for typing errors. I am typing on a tablet.
