Ok, I'd like some input from the Chow community on my next purchase. I already have a 9 1/2 qt French Oven and I love the way it holds heat. But this pot is way too big for everyday use. So I'm thinking of getting a 4 1/2 qt pot. What I'm not sure of is if I should get a round french oven or a round soup pot. Anybody have experiences on either one? I don't understand why the french oven is $50 more than the soup pot...same size, same make, just different shape! What's the story? For 6 servings of things, should I go bigger, like 7 qts? Thanks in advance for any input and sage advice. Margret
