Is it okay that I always leave my oven rack in the middle?

newbiefor1 | Feb 26, 201805:02 PM     3

I am single male living on my own for the first time The only things I really cook at home are

Scrambled eggs (low heat in skillet) Chicken Breasts Pork Chops Frozen Pizzas and the Ocassional steak (obviously I eat vegetables and fruits too)

I always use my oven for meat. Unless I'm grilling outdoors. I live in an apartment and I dont like smoking up the place with a skillet.

Anyways I have always left the oven rack right in the middle position. I never really move it. Nothing ever comes out burnt or under cooked but my friend told me you need to adjust the rack for different foods

For what I cook, am I okay always leaving the rack right in the middle?
I figured this always gives you even heat ditribution
