OK, we leave Monday for London/Paris, husband and three teens (15-17). Need suggestions for London eats--decent chow, decent prices; we'll be in South Kensington but doing the tourist route in central city as well, possible trip to Oxford as well. Good basic lunch options near museums, good, not exepnsive dinners as well, or carryout as we're staying in a place with a kitchen. We have several adventurous eaters--aka chowhounds, but some who are more conservative. (We've mandated no McDs or Hard Rock cafe or any American chain.) We have a couple days in Paris--staying near Rue de Moufftarde. Need a moderate ($25/pp range) "wear skirt or dress" dinner, other good cafe on-the-go lunch places mainly on Left Bank but also around Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Eiffel Tower. Would prefer to stay with French rather than other ethnic chow in Paris--full immersion for the jeunes filles with whom I'm traveling. Any info on drinking age at both places--we have almost eighteen, almost sixteen--can they order or drink in London or France? Thanks, hounds! We're geeked.
