Le Zie in Chelsea

I have a new favorite Italian restaurant. It's called Le Zie and it's on 7th Ave around 20th or 21st St. We went there last night for the 2nd time and I ordered the tortelli, which were filled with spinach and ricotta, and in a sauce of butter, fried sage and parmesan cheese.

My boyfriend had the seared tuna, which was perfectly cooked and served with tender asparagus and roasted potatoes.

They've got a really extensive menu of pastas and meat entrees, and is very reasonably priced ($12-20). The wine and dessert menu is very enticing as well.

It was packed, even on a Sunday night, and we were sitting right next to my boyfriend's idol, Wallace Shawn.
