Le Saigon and Nook

Lunch yesterday at Le Saigon on Santa Monica Blvd in West LA. I had grilled pork bun (over rice noodles with basil, romaine, carrots, bean sprouts and a dusting of ground peanuts)and a couple of pieces of imperial roll. Delicious and satisfying lunch. Drank some strong and sweet vietnamese iced coffee. $12 with tip

Dinner at Nook late last night. As good as always. Started with those delicious mussels with linguica sausage and then the hangar steak and those garlicky fries. My wife had a ceasar sald to begin and the excellent burger. We had a wonderful and fairly priced costieres de nimes syrah. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert. around $95 inclusive.

Great day to eat in West LA.
