We had lunch at Le Resto in Old Longueuil on Friday, it was quite nice. It is a smallish place with 4-5 tables on the sidewalk, and some red banquets inside with a few mirrors on the walls... Personally, I think it is a bit worn out and it should be renovated. It is however a nice place for a lunch, with decent prices. I had the special-of-the-day mussels (white wine, cream, mushrooms) with fries. Very good mussels and the portion was quite generous. The fries were exactly how I like them (ie: not skinny and dried-up), and they came with a spicy mayo. My boyfriend had the chicken caesar salad from the regular menu (the mussels are also available on the regular menu), and he quite enjoyed it. It is not the best he ever had, but good enough for us to return there (he is a somewhat Caesar salad afficiendo).
The dessert that came with my special-of-the-day dish was this incredibly creamy and perfectly sweet cheese cake.
So for $50 (tip & tax included) with a glass of white wine (Pinot Grigio $6) and a pop, the price was very decent and the meal satisfied us both.
