Get-together at Le Creole Haitian Restaurant?

Rene G | Aug 23, 2002 03:45 PM

For a while now I have been thinking about organizing a get-together at Le Creole, the Haitian restaurant on the southeast side. I just wanted to find out who might be interested before I talk with the owner again. Le Creole (see link) is a bare-bones café that serves real Haitian home cooking. We had their chicken (unfortunately without the sauce) and legume at the beach picnic. The plan would be to have them make us a special big dinner. I have no idea about price but I doubt it would be very expensive. They have no liquor license but hopefully we could bring our own wine. The time is yet to be determined. I was thinking maybe the end of September or beginning of October, maybe a Sunday, maybe about 5pm. So let me know, either here or by email, if you’re interested and make any suggestions. Be sure to mention any Haitian dishes you’ve had a hankerin’ for. I’ll try to talk with Maurice in a week or two and post the updated plans.
