Le Cafe: Vietnamese Subs (banh mi) and cappuccino

Walking up Clement and 31st ave I happened upon this busy little cafe, their menu of vietnamese sandwiches peaked my interest. With three-four small tables Le Cafe is quite homey and very clean. Their selection of banh mi is extensive with all the ingredients and toppings clearly displayed. I choose the assorted ham sub, it came as a toasted french roll filled with pickled vegetables, pate and a generous amount of assorted ham, skipping the cilantro and mayo. It was one of the best vietnamese subs I have ever had, in addition I must say this is the first banh mi that I did'nt get a MSG headache from. My cappuccino with soy was also superb, smooth and totally drinkable without any sweetner, no bitter aftertaste at all. I've finally found a place to fill my banh mi and italian coffee cravings.
