I just secured a reservation for restaurant week, but having never had the opportunity to dine at either it or upstairs at Le Bec Fin, I find myself a bit nervous.
I know that dressing up is the only option, but are jackets required for men downstairs? Is the service friendly and approachable (similar to Lacroix) or simply stuffy? Do they have a sommelier downstairs? I've heard that the wine list is extensive. I've also heard about ringing the front door and checking in with the maitre d'.
Please tell me anything I should know about the layout, service, etc. as I want to be appear to be classy and confident, even though I'll be trying to remember which fork to use :) Oh, and I'll be trying to impress a non-Hound dining companion.
