HELP! Is my LC Salvageable?

ccnfan | Jun 24, 201507:35 PM

Hi all - I was attempting to clean my LC with water, baking soda and vinegar (I didn't read till after that you're not supposed to combine the baking soda and vinegar), but forgot about it on the stove! I returned to find a mess: the water and vinegar were long gone and the baking soda turned into black ash. I've made a few attempts to clean the pot with water and baking and water and vinegar, but with limited results. I also bought the Williams Sonoma enameled cast iron cleaner, which helped a bit, but not much. In fact, after using the cleaner, I can now see these cracks in the enamel.

Is my LC salvageable? Any recommendations for how to better clean the pot? Do I need to worry about the cracks? Is the LC cleaner worth purchasing? Is there anywhere to send the pot to get professionally cleaned / fixed?

Appreciate any advice.
