Hey Lazy:

Looked at your post re: midtown grub. I've got to take issue with your assessment of Kim Son. While I agree that there is much touristy food there, I've had many excellent dishes such as:

Sweet & Sour Duck;
Mama Lao's Chicken with the honey, garlic sauce (the chicken, not the cornish hen);
Lemon Grass Tofu;
Vietnamese Hot and Sour Soup (chock full of okra, pineapple, and herbs);
Stir fried pea shoots and garlic;

I will admit that it helps to go with a Vietnamese friend, but believe me, there is some excellent food to be had there.

BTW, I also like Cali.
