recommendations requested from you, savvy sages. we are new to the area and we have the best kind of family coming to town--the ones who insist on taking you out for dinner! we have heard good things about lazlo's nw, paley's and higgins, and i would love your feedback on either of these, or if there is anywhere else you would strongly recommend.
our visitors are not people who would not feel comfortable in super-edgy neighborhoods, but appreciate fab food. suggestions? i am looking for seasonal ingredients, inventive cooking, minimum pretense, lovely, convivial setting. i am looking for a meal that leaves me feeling emotionally and gustatorily sated, but not necessarily intellectually stimulated. just delicious, mouthwatering (northwest-y) grub!
thanks for all your former posts and in advance for any steerage here. i am a former restaurant critic and i am so impressed with all of the passion and expertise expressed in these posts!
