Went to Layla with my lady on Saturday night and had a wonderful meal. While the food wasn't stellar, it was solid and what you could expect from Mediterranean cuisine. The room was nice and interesting but not as intimate as you would think judging from the pictures posted on the Myriad site. We opted for the 3 course tasting menu (for around $35) and decided to get both the warm and cold mez instead of dessert. Everything was decent, with the cold mez and sausage being the standouts. The service was warm and kind, but this might be due to the fact that I've heard that they are hurting for business. Our server apologized on more than one occasion for the delay in food, when actually I felt that everything was coming out just right or even too quickly for a tasting menu. Anyway, I would give this place a solid 7 and would recommend it for groups and for first dates.
