It has been some time since anyone has discussed restaurants in Switzerland so I hope there is some new info out there.
Any recommendations for good chocolatiers and restaurants in Lausanne?
I am looking for a simple, reasonably quick place for a week-day lunch, located between the area around the rail station and Lake Leman, Ouchy. I have found the Swiss on-line equivalent of Zagat's, Resto-Rang, but it fails to convey a sense of the places rated. I would want to eat Swiss/French food, rather than the omnipresent foreign places that proliferate in the Resto-Rang list.
On-line I have also found Chocolaterie Dürig, av. d'Ouchy 15, 1006 Lausanne, Tel 021 601 24 35, Fax 021 601 30 36, which got a good write-up in the local paper, but I wanted to know if anyone on the list actually knew it. Since I also will be spending a day in Geneva, I wanted to know how their chocolate establishments compared. The ones I have identified so far are Micheli. 1, rue Micheli du Crest. (Tél.: 00.41.22 329.90.06), * Du Rhône. 3, rue de la Confédération à Genève. (Tél.: 00.41.22 311.56.14), * Auer. 4, rue de Rive à Genève. (Tél.: 00.41.22311.42.86 et www.chocolat-auer.ch), * La Bonbonnière. 11, rue de Rive à Genève. (Tél.: 00.41.22 311.61.96), * Arn. 12, Bourg-de-Four à Genève. (Tél.: 00.41.22310.40.94 et www.swisschocolates.ch).
In Geneva I will be near the train station and the university. Are any of these chocolate shops nearby?
How do they compare to Michel Chaudun in Paris?
