in the past couple of weeks I have acquired Cherry Heering, Hendriick's gin,Creme Yvette, Maraschino and HUGE bottle of Cruzan dark rum, Skky ginger vodka (a good for sub Canton), A six pack of Fee brother's bitters, Peychaud's bitters and a 1974 edition of the Mr. Boslon's bartender's guide. Which still has Creme Yvette as ingredient for it's drinks along with hawking every liquor Mr.Boston makes lots of nice obscure cocktails still to make. So what should I do with my stash of marvelous, marvelous booze and book? I'm thinking a vintage cocktail party!
Here's one the many Creme Yvette cocktails I found in Mr. Boston.
Crystal slipper cocktail
1/2 ox of Creme Yvette
2 dashes orange bitter
1 1/2 oz <S>Old MR. Boston Gin</S> Hendrick's Gin
Stir with ice and and pour into cocktail glass.
Made it. Tried it. a bit to syrupy sweet and medciney for my tastes, maybe I didn't make it right.
