Late-night Middle Eastern on 63rd St.

Mugs | Dec 21, 2003 11:21 PM

About 9:30 tonight the Nile was closed and I couldn't find Steve's, so I tried the small cafe Al Zeituna. I was waited on by an eight-year old boy. Jerusalem salad and falafel sandwich were OK, and when I went up to pay the check, the proprietor said, "Just give me six bucks." I asked how late the restaurant was open, and he said, "2 to 2." (Oddly, the score of the Blackhawks game I'd just left.)
