Hello,
I'll be driving from LV to Boise in late July. A lot of the trip will be on US 93, with some of it on state roads. Since it's good 9 to 10 hour drive, I'm guessing we'll need to stop along the way, to eat, among other physical needs.
Does anyone have any suggestions about places worth seeking out for sustenance? There seem to be some non-chain restaurants in Ely, Nevada, but not much else that I can find. My wife and I would prefer to avoid the chain outlets (burgers, etc.). But our 17 year old son would be happy with that kind of stuff. Personally, I'd rather not eat than go to McD's or BK. I suppose I would eat a baked potato at Wendy's (although I have never done so previously).
Alternatively, would we be better off buying food/sandwiches in LV and eating them on the road? I imagine there are attractive parks with picnic tables in that area.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks
