I checked out Las Ruinas. Apparently the new owner wants to turn this into a hot dog stand from October 1. I am puzzled. Perhaps the proximity to Pasadena City College requires faster food (my order today took about 10 minutes to serve, on a not too busy day). Time will tell if this move is economically more viable. 10 more days to enjoy this cheap and houndly food!
The Al Pastor Alambre was great as usual. The meat is more intensely flavored than its north-western competitor, but the cheese quotient is smaller, and they cook it with green bell peppers, not the grilled Pasilla chiles.
