Hey everybody - I need a place for an early Sunday lunch/dinner for about 20-25 people. We'll all be staying around the convention center, so someplace within a 15 minute walk would be best. I'm trying to fight my curiosity and keep it simple to please everybody, but I don't want something super basic, either. Here's what I have in mind:
-A nice space, with good energy. Not a separate room for just us.
-Passed food and shared plates. Not a large seated table, with waitstaff taking individual orders.
-Places to stand and sit, and circulate - more like a cocktail hour than a seated meal.
-At least somewhat interesting food. It should be at least a bit impressive.
I've been reading about Rebelle, but the interior looks a little...chic. Boudro's seems too polished at this sort of thing, if that makes sense, and not interesting enough. I know the Riverwalk must be incredibly trite for you guys, but it might make sense here, in the name of not overthinking it.
Other places I've looked into include Gwendolyn, Fig Tree, Bellas (but closed on Sundays), Ocho (too far), The Last Word (too dark).
