L'Angolo revisited.

After New Year's Eve, we were anxious to get back to L'Angolo and try their regular menu.
We liked it very much, and it joins our top BYOB's.
My husband had the grilled calimari appetizer, and proclaimed it as good as Lauletta's (and that is good!).
I had the Caeser salad - tasty, but a bit too creamy. Not as good as Tre Scalini's.
Our friend had the shrimp wrapped in prosciutto over wilted radicchio and said it was delicious.
Two of us had the ravioli special of butternut squash with butter and sage; it was great. One person had the ravioli on the menu, spinach and ricotta, and loved it. My husband had the spaghetti Bolognese - a kind of test - and gave it the highest marks.
We shared a dessert - a chocolate rice pudding with dried cherries. It wasn't my favorite - I'm a purist with rice pudding, even though I love chocolate - but the others adored it.
The place is small and was busy and crowded, but our service was fine. Reservations needed.
Add another great BYOB to your list!
Sylvia
