Langer's Hand-cut Pastrami. WOW!!!!

I had to be in the neighborhood, with my wife and son, this afternoon, so we stopped at Langer's for a late lunch. I hadn't been there in maybe 20 years, but the posts here made me need to stop.

My wife and son had Rueben sandwiches, which they thought were very good. I had the #19 - Patstrami on rye, with swiss and coleslaw AND specifically asked for hand-cut pastrami. WOW!!!!!!!

Everything I've read here was true. This was, without a doubt, the best pastrami I've ever head. That includes Nate & Al's Junior's, Roll 'n Rye, Jerry's, Solly's, and even the Stage and Carnegie delis in New York. The sandwich was not piled high, like most delis do it, but the quality was incredible. My wife tried a little piece and agreed fully with the 'best ever' comment.

Thanks to all who've posted here about Langer's. Now, if someone would remind me the name and location of the place (I think it's in the Valley) that many say is better, I would be happy to give it a try the next time I'm out that way.
