I know that curry means sauce and there are thousands of them. But in the US, evidently, if you go to an Indian restaurant and ask for lamb curry they all tend to give you a similar dish.
Does anyone know this default dish? I've made at least 6 different versions of a lamb curry in Indian cookbooks and none if them are right or as good as the restaurant according to my husband.
I toast and grind per recipe my own spices and have ghee so I don't think it's just bad Ingrediants.
Any help here? Or did my husband send me on a wild goose chase.
