The wife and I were up in Alton Bay for a couple of weeks. Neighbors recommended the same old thing 1812 Room, Woodshed, The Quays. Thumbed a dining guide for the area and saw an ad that made me do a double take. Duck Liver Terrine. Hmmmm.... Sounded a little bit out of place for the area. Went to the restaraunt called Mise En Place in Wolfboro. The wifester and I were blown away. Nobody we spoke to knew of this place. Supurb menu, great service, interesting, unique and inexpensive wine listings. This is a bit pricey for the local New Hampshireites but WELL worth the trip. Seats only thirty, so call for reservations.
