This will be a very lame review because I only had one item but....it was a DELICIOUS slow-roasted beef sandwich with au jus. I'm a big fan of the French Dip sandwich. A real French Dip sandwich, not the bastarized version that's served with melted cheese or mushrooms or other additions. Just beef and au jus. Think Philippe the Original in Los Angeles.
While the beef is technically not traditional, this bastardized version is a keeper. The beef is seasoned and roasted for 20 hours (per the cook) and then shredded and served on a hoagie with a cup of au jus. That's it.
Lake Town Tavern opened up a few months ago in the site of the former Graduate and then Beergoggles. They (thankfully) totally cleaned the place up -- it no longer smells of stale beer and vomit. It's pretty cheery and would be a good place to watch football and have a sandwich.
Another big plus: $2.00 draft Stella's on Tuesday nights.
This is certainly not a destination restaurant but if you're in the area and hungry, try the Slow Roasted Beef Sandwich.
