Lahore, Pakistan - Best "Mithai" from Nirala Sweets

klyeoh | Aug 27, 201412:17 PM     1

Nirala Sweets is Lahore's No.1 "mithai" (confectionery) chain - 10 outlets throughout Lahore, but I listed the address of the one at Lakshmi Chowk here as one can also find great chicken karahi in this area.

Lahoris have a sweeter tooth than even other Pakistanis, so you can imagine how much sugar is contained in a box of these "mithai" sweets. My fave is the "patisa" - crisp, flaky-layered confection made from gram flour - it's known as "soan papdi" in India.
