Yes 'Hounds, I've done my homework and "control-f'ed" (don't misinterpret that!) to see what has already been written about these locales. But, I guess my query is a little more pointed:
Here's what we're looking for tonight: somewhere fun (but not drunk obnoxious college-aged students tossing undergarments on bars), hip (tapas? sushi? seafood, or dare I say perhaps "fusion"?), but that won't cost $50 a head. We have a friend in from NY who we're looking to take out for a great bite to eat. A view of the ocean would be preferred, but we're open to suggestions.
I've been pleased with the food and service at Brussels Bistro (Laguna - great place for the Belgian beers!), and Gulfstream, have hit a few of the restaurants anchoring the big mall there, and while they would suffice, I'm looking for something that isn't easily replicated on every corner in NY.
Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks in advance for your help. Any specific info (websites, menus, what has stood out for you) is always appreciated, and I PROMISE to report back.
