Lagostina Accademia Lagofusion - hybrid designs

damiano | Sep 23, 201903:24 AM     41

I've recently acquired a 22 cm Lagostina Accademia Lagofusion stock pot but couldn't really find a dedicated thread about this series. So here it is. Please ask your questions here and/or post about your experiences.

This is coming from an earlier discussion, to be found here: https://www.chowhound.com/post/though...

This Made in Italy cookware line is using a hybrid design, i.e. the pan has both a thick aluminum disc at the bottom as well as clad sidewalls. For people sensitive to having conductive sidewalls this is an ideal way to get the evenness of heat a thick aluminum disc provides.

These pans are available on European amazon sites for often attractive prices, e.g. I bought my 22 cm pot with lid for around 60 euro. For USA consumers, please let us know if this is easily available over there.

Centurylife has reviewed their frying pan here: https://www.centurylife.org/in-depth-...

The product catalogue can be found here: http://www.lagostina.com/en/product/d...
