I posted a similar question on the board about a week ago and was amazed to find not a single chowhound responded!! To date, Lago has received a very good review from Toronto Star as well as 3 1/2 stars from James Chatto. Due to the close proximity of the restaurant to my home, I'm planning to take a 'foodie' friend there for dinner, rather than driving all the way downtown to savour those 3.5 - 4.5 stars establishments. (it is also unsafe to drive all the way back up after a multi-course food and WINE pairing dinner!). Feed back from fellow chowhounds on Lago's cuisine, wine and service would be greatly appreciated.
Also, apart from Lago, is 'Terra' the only OTHER fine dinning establishment,UP-NORTH, worth trying out? How's their food nowadays? Last time I ate at Terra, Mark McEwan was still part owner!!
