My hub' & I traveled to & ate our way through Paris , Summer 2007. I fell hard for Laduree';The Marie Antoinette Tea, the equisite celadon decor & ambience, the salt caramel macaron, the creme du maron & whip cream pastries, &, &, &, !!! I posted my local Los Angeles Chow Hounders to find who carries Laduree' Tea, locally. Apparently only Marriage Frere imports through some Cooking & specialty stores ( some of your Ny.Y. Foody hot-spots, too), but none of those blends are qualitatively like Marie Antoinette. I even wasted money at a swanky, reputable tea purveyor in Pasadena where my effort to replicate the blend produced agag-worthy brew. Finally, after numerous e-mails to Paris, Laduree' informed me they do not ship their products abroad. I thought at least on of the two London Branches might ship, but NO. The Gentleman who replied from Paris mentioned fleetingly ,at the end of his note, that a New York Shop or branch would be opening in 2009 in New York. I wrote back asking WHEN in 2009? Of course I received no response after that. I googled it & saw word of an N.Y. Opening on September 7th from a New York Publication called "The Wit of the Staircase". Alas, the date of that issue said, "2007". My detective work isn't working. Does anyone know anything!? JET
