La Traviata

I have walked by this place on 23rd Street and 10th Aveue for years and never stepped inside. I peered in the windows and looked at the people eating. We finally went a week or so ago. The food is very simple and plain, but good. Admittedly I had oysters that tasted extremely fresh and the antipaste calde, also good. But the thing that made this place was the strange ambiance. There was a small mixed crowd and a man playing piano classics. It was quite charming.
