3 of us went to La Tavernetta on 88th Street in Glendale Sunday afternoon and found the food very bland. It was very well presented and looked terrific, but it was terribly bland. I had the chicken scarpariello, which was loaded with garlic and rosemary, but was sorely lacking flavor. I noted that there were many senior diners in there, do you think that could account for the lack of spicing, perhaps to suit to the neighborhood's preference or maybe I just had an off night? Thoughts???
