La Tasca in DC

Sangria Lover | Feb 23, 2004 06:45 PM

Across from the MCI Center you can find the worst service, along with the poorest quality sangria in the city. The atmosphere is pure disneyland Mexico, which is strange for a Spanish restaurant. The TGIFriday's/yardsale decor (fake garlic hanging from the ceiling) make you wonder why you are paying Jaleo prices, for Taco Bell quality ambiance, food, and service.

Our tatooed bartender (on a night off from the 9:30 club obviously) could not have cared less about doing anything other than hitting on the waitstaff, and not tending the bar. We not only felt unwelcome, when the sangria arrived, it was so bad we left a full pitcher of it on the bar.

Avoid at all costs.
