Being a huge Michel Troigros fan, i was happy to hear last year of the opening of his venture in Paris at the Hotel Lancaster. There were early good reviews by Patricia Wells (link below) and Jancis Robinson, but mixed ones elsewhere. The only comments I can find on this board are the ones by MIchael from mid '04. Has anybody been lately and have some of the rough edges been smoothed? (I am contemplating it as a lunch spot mid-week in mid-July....)
also, on the topic of famed non-Parisian chefs opening outposts (of sorts) in the Capital, does anybody have any reports from Veyrat's venture at Roland Garros?
(and for what it's worth, in response to the few (very) negative reports on L'Atelier Roubochon, we had 2 more spectacular late dinners there over Presidents' Day Weekend --in fact, out of the 8 meals i've had there, i think these 2 were the best -- even the puree, which i thought couldn't get better was in fact better.)
