In the menudo thread I've talked about some of my favorites at La Soledad, a Oaxacan bakery.
Today I was back to pick up something for dinner. Enmoladas, $6, was a plate with a couple layers of fresh corn tortillas bathed in mole rojo plus thinly sliced carne asada and queso fresco. Delectable mole with warm heat and mouthfilling complexity of flavor, and a lot of it, making me wish that I'd ordered a side of rice.
A couple pantry items I noticed while waiting for take-out included some dried fish and chapulines.
