À la Recherche de Truite Meunière

marais | Dec 10, 201403:16 PM     2

Flash back 40 years to senior year high school, my graduation gift a trip to the city. One night pre-theatre, we dipped into a French restaurant (I remember it seemed Provence-themed) off Times Sq for dinner. My entrée that night was truite meunière. And it has been the trout au bleu that has haunted my dreams all those years hence.

So now that I'm able to visit and dip into dining in the city with some regularity, where should I seek the trout au bleu meunière of my memory in Manhattan? Thanks in advance, and if you need chow tips in Boston's Fenway or Back Bay areas feel free to ask.
