So, I have been tasked with making mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving this year, and was looking to follow Robuchon's famous recipe. Does anyone happen to know any place in the Boston area that would sell either La Ratte Potatoes or Échiré butter?
While researching, I did find a place (MA France in Lexington) that sells Pamplie butter, which seems like a reasonable substitute, although I have never tried it and am a bit concerned with how much turnover a small shop like them would do. My fallback would be Vermont Creamery, which I know I can find fresh.
