Tried this place for the second time on Sunday afternoon.
They still have the menu of American sandwiches that obviously came with the truck, I'm not sure if they actually ever make any of that stuff. In the window they had handwritten signs offering tacos, burritos, tortas, pupusas, and quesadillas. They were out of almost everything. No pupusas, no tortas, no chicken or al pastor. Only options were carne asada or carnitas in either burrito or taco form.
I tried one taco of each meat, and they were some of the better tacos I've had in a while. Carnitas were greaseless, a bit dry and feathery even, with rich pork flavor. The carne asada had some nice browned bits and was quite tender. Onions and cilantro were fresh; chile de arbol based salsa was spicy and garlicky. My main complaint was that the doubled-up machine-made corn tortillas arrived with a slick of blazing hot oil that burned my fingertips when I tried to pick up the taco. And like last time, it took a little convincing to get them to give me a jalapeño en escabeche.
They also had some horchata and several different bottled drinks, but I didn't try anything.
