La Medusa in Seattle's Columbia City is open again

Olympia Jane | Jan 28, 2004 10:15 AM

We walked by La Medusa last night on our way to dinner at Deux Tamales. We stopped to read the La Medusa menu posted in the window. Most of the menu items were identical to the previous owner's array of offerings, including the linguini with clams, grandma's greens, the fresh fish offering, butternut squash risotto, an array of pizza offerings and the spaghetti with sardines. I imagine the menu will still change seasonally? Anyway, some of you had already assured me that since the same people would be in the kitchen it would likely stay the same, even with the change in ownership, and I was just posting this note to announce that you were right!
For those of you who haven't been to La Medusa, I am including a link to an old review (last May) from The Stranger. It is a review done prior to the recent change in owners (but not the significant chefs I am told), and the hours they are open may have changed, so it would be wise to call ahead. If anyone goes soon, let us know. I imagine we will be going within the next month or two.
